Skill set/Duties. Provides technical Rroject Engineering/Systems Engineering skills for the design and installation of SolarWorld solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and projects. These are large-scale systems for commercial/ industrial/public agency customer facilities. The position also provides support for the design/development of SolarWorld residential and commercial solar photovoltaic (PV) systems and kits. BS degree in Engineering or other technical discipline required. Electrical Power Engineering or Structural Engineering background preferred. Five-plus years work experience in engineering, construction or other similar technical field required. Must have experience performing electrical design engineering, including developing electrical one-line diagrams, schematics, and other drawings; OR structural engineering design; and performing or reviewing engineering calculations. Electrical Engineer must understand basic industrial electrical concepts, NEC and applicable codes, layouts calculations, and equipment sizing, including industrial medium voltage electrical apparatus work, and utility interconnection requirements. Structural Engineer must understand basic structural design, including UBC, wind loads, and other code requirements.
