Position
Reporting to the Information Services & Technology Leader, the Sr. Navision Developer is responsible for analyzing internal customer requirements, designing, developing, implementing and maintaining software using the Microsoft Dynamics NAV product. Applies generally accepted programming standards and techniques to assure efficient program logic and data manipulation.
Primary responsibilities for this position include:
Works with customers, internal and external, to optimize business processes by analysis, design, coding, testing, implementing and maintaining within the MS Dynamics NAV ERP system. Participates in designing, coding, testing, debugging, configuring, and documenting software. Works within the framework of an ITIL standard change management system to insure software quality. Provides assistance and routine consultation to users in the development of software, including help desk functions when needed. Plans and executes upgrade releases and custom interfaces. Works with the business systems team to develop software interfaces and interconnections. Defines tasks for and supervises junior programming staff, including consultants and in- house developers. Develops training plans and mentors junior staff.
Requirements
The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience: BS (MS Preferred) in Computer Science or Software Engineering. BS/BA or MBA with applicable experience is acceptable substitute. Minimum five years experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV in a developer role. Minimum two years experience in senior/project management role in a Microsoft NAV environment. Experience in Manufacturing and line-of-business applications. Must have a strong understanding of business/financial/statistical mathematical requirements.Must be able to convert sometimes vague business requirements into system requirements. Develops and implements complex business related algorithms. Microsoft Dynamics NAV 5.0. C/SIDE development. Object oriented development. Microsoft .Net development. Microsoft Office applications. Microsoft SQL Server 2005. Strong interpersonal and written communications skills are required. Software Project Management.
