Position The Wafering, Cell and Crystal growing Production teams will create a foundation for the technological market leadership of SolarWorld in the USA in the Mono-Si Photovoltaic Industry. We will accomplish this goal by utilizing innovative techniques, combined ideas and extensive cross-functional departmental teamwork - turning Silicon into Wafers that are ready for Solar Cell production. Reporting to a Production Shift Supervisor or Maintenance / Production Manager, this position will be certified in the operation and maintenance of multiple tools sets in the Wafering, CZ, or Cell production area (s).
In this position, you will work with processes and manufacturing engineers to ensure efficient day-to-day production operations in a high-volume manufacturing facility. You will work as a team member to continuously improve production processes, equipment reliability and tool performance. Primary responsibilites for this position include:
Perform maintenance tasks to established work instructions and procedures. Initiate planned corrective actions. Perform Basic & Minor and Major Preventive Maintenance. Perform Minor and Major equipment maintenance. Close out open action plans or escalate when needed. Support production technicians in resolving and addressing process or equipment problems. Assist Engineering with process and equipment improvements Take actions to bring equipment back into operating parameters when necessary.. Maintain housekeeping in work areas in accordance with 5S (lean) principles. Comply with all company safety and environmental requirements. Enter data into computers and identify OOC conditions, respond to OOC according to established procedures. Performs equipment alarm recovery tasks. May perform simple tasks including the movement of parts and materials, including forklift operation. Participate in shift “passdowns” as required . Other duties as assigned.
Requirements The successful candidate will possess the following combination of education and experience: Development of operating procedures, maintenance schedule and instructions within company systems, formats and guidelines Maintain and search equipment logs and production database, consolidating data for reporting Optimize product flow and line efficiency by improving manual tools, work methods and station ergonomics, using the 5S methodology Drafting and dimensioning simple to complex components for fabrication by a machine shop Communication with production supervisors and personnel to gather data, coordinate daily activities and training. Active participation in special task teams ERT involvement including certifications.
