SolarWorld empowers the powerless
Solar energy has the unique ability to provide clean, free electricity anywhere the sun shines. SolarWorld established the Solar2World program to help alleviate poverty and improve the quality of life of people in developing nations by giving them access to electricity.
Active in rural parts of Africa and Latin America, Solar2World donates Sunmodule solar panels to NGO's that deploy them in projects like water pumping stations, clinics, and schools.
In 2009, Solar2World provided solar panels and power electronics to Sun Energy Power International to power this off-grid Partners in Health clinic in Boucan Carre, Haiti
Imediately after the January earthquake in Haiti, SolarWorld donated enough solar panels to power 10 Water Missions International pumping stations in Port au Prince.
