High-quality reporting and transparency with our stakeholders help ensure that our leaders are held accountable. That's why SolarWorld is one of the few companies around the globe to receive an A grade from the Global Reporting Initiative.

Environmental sustainability

One of the most radical things that SolarWorld does to ensure environmental sustainability is to locate our factories and suppliers in countries, like the USA and Germany, that have strict environmental regulations. We also design our products to minimize or eliminate toxic materials and process waste streams. On top of all that, SolarWorld pioneered recycling processes throughout the manufacturing process and even for broken and obsolete solar panels so that our production cycle is closed from cradle to cradle.

Social sustainability

By manufacturing in the USA, SolarWorld helps to keep our customers' investments local, providing living-wage jobs for Americans. Our Solar2World program also helps alleviate poverty for people who have no access to electricity.
